Beijing 2008 Olympics 6

China's dominance in table tennis was proven once again by grabbing all the medals in this event at the Olympic games. Maybe the format of the game would be changed again to prevent China from winning all three top medals...

However, the so-called "China's Diving Dream Team" failed to collect all eight golds in the diving completions as Chinese divers did not win the last gold of the diving event, men's 10 meter platform. Zhou Luxin of China (周吕鑫) did very poorly in his last round and left the door open for Matthew Mitcham of Australia, who overcame a 34-point deficit and scored an astonishing 112.10 in his last dive to win the gold.

The Olympics is supposed to be the place where athletes demonstrate the spirit of sportsmanship. However, during the Taekwondo men's heavyweight bronze medal match, Angel Matos of Cuban, the gold medalist at the 2000 Olympics, showed bad sportsmanship by kicking the referee who disqualified him for taking too much injury time. If Matos could kick his opponent like that, then he would be a clear winner of the match. Anyway, he suffered the consequences of his action: a lifetime ban in Tawkwodo.
