Umineko no Naku Koro ni (うみねこのなく頃に) 04
Why they all look shocked?
The truth is... (Joji... I know you need breast milk or have sex urge or whatever but you mom is dead... well, I guess Joji's really obsessed with huge breasts...)
Well done, Batora!!! I wanna punch Maria for so long!
Locked room mystery remains unsolved and Maria believes that Beatrice uses a magic circle to unlock the door... so have the couple been killed while the butlers outside are knocking the door? So does the same guy leave the letter under the door, draw the scribble and murder the couple over such a short amount of time?
While investigating the source of the bad smell, Kanon goes to the boiler room alone and take Rena's billhook(?) for self-defense...
Kanon feels someone is in the room but is stabbed in the heart in the dark (Doesn't Kanon see the cloud of golden butterflies or is it just Kanon's imagination?)
When the rest of the group rush into the room, they makes another discovery, Kinzo's corpse (because of the six toes but who knows who else is having six toes in this family...)
Another master-butler/master-maid relationship reveals... (... I've thought Kanon's a girl...)
People in the mansion suspect that the murder might have a master key so they all go hiding inside Kinzo's study, in which there are only two keys to this room. Also, the magic on the door works similar to the charms and should be able to block Beatrice.
"Glorify my name" is the message of the second letter and people go on and discuss the mysterious background of Beatrice: 1) Beatrice exits and is Kinzo's lover. 2) Beatrice's dead and Kinzo's trying to use black magic to revive her. 3) Nobody knows if there's a hidden child between Kinzo and Beatrice. 4) There're rumors that Kinzo sacrifices homeless children for his black magic experiments.
Then Batora realizes that everything's happening just like in the epitaph, which foretells that all people in the mansion would be killed eventually.
Then a few seconds later, Maria points out there's another letter from Beatrice which clearly isn't there moments ago when Natsuhi places the can on the table.
This is a shot around 15 seconds before the letter is discovered and from this angle, it seems that the letter hasn't appeared yet.
Then it just shows up and nobody knows how it gets there.
Natsuhi suspects that either one of the four people behind the table leaves the letter on the table and threatens to shoot them if they don't leave immediately.
On their way out, Batora gives his charm to Maria saying that he's lying about losing it and her smile is wicked... (because she's got protection or Batora showing signs of believing Beatrice's existence?)
Later on, the four remain in the room look up the meaning of the magic circle coming with the third letter and find out its effect is to create discord within a group.
Then, the phone that is not supposed to work rings and they hear someone singing from the other end.
So they get out of the study and see three more people are killed but Maria's unharmed facing the wall singing...
Comments: Basically, I don't think I have any clue now but I tend to believe Beatrice is within the 18 people inside the mansion and the murderer is one of the presumably dead characters. I guess Maria'd have something to do with Beatrice's letters and she's most likely to be the one who places the third letter on the table since she seems to be short enough to sneak around without getting people notice when all of them are clearly focusing on the portrait and epitaph at that moment. After all, isn't Maria Beatrice's messenger?

Lucky Number Seven
Today, July 24, marks the 7th anniversary of our immigration to US OTZ but also the 1st anniversary of this blog \( ^ . ^ )/ Well, seven years are like a blink of an eye and to be honest, I might not even remember this anniversary if I haven't particularly mark this date as something like a birthday reminder on my cell phone. Another year passed by and I think I'm a little bit busier so I don't have much time and always too tired to think. But after all, I don't think I've really changed much over the year... Anyway, everything seems to be OK right now but over the past couple weeks, I kind of have these feelings at work like staring at the clock and couldn't wait to go home, always looking forward to the Fridays to get out of work but not really having any plan over the weekends, etc. Time could pass quickly but things are like repeating themselves everyday. Is that because I'm already tired of this job or it's just because of the laziness of the summer?

Buehrle's Perfect Game

The new opening and is mostly about space exploration, extraterrestrial and cult?
The plaque on Pioneer 10 and mysterious pattern...
... and last but not least, the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster... (Nozomu appearing on the side seems to be poorly drawn to me.)
An ET Kafuka falls from the sky and is caught by Nozomu who is walking alone in a desert. Then after the catch, the surroundings transform into a place similar to where they first met.
Part 1: Flipping switches. Chrismas is coming but Nami keeps encountering characters whose switches are accidentally ipped by Kafuka and Nozomu inside an underground room and their switches are as the following: tails, socks, Meru, green shorts and the greeting "merry x'mas?"
Nozomu also has his own switch/sensitive spot behind his left ear and he'd make some strange noise when it's touched...
But if it's being pressed for too many times or too hard, it'd trigger Nozomu's self-explosion...
Part 2: Third choice. When one couldn't decide between two things, s/he tends to end up with a completely different third alternative as a result.
What happen if Ikkyu uses 50:50 and has two choices left, maybe then he just takes the money...
At last, Nozomu and his students realize they're trapped in this so-called "town of third choices..."
Of course, Chiri wouldn't like the idea of third alternative because things are either black or white and there shouldn't be exception but she's shocked to find out her parents have also made this kind of decision when naming their new baby girl...
Nozomu's sick of this kind of meaningless decision making and torn by the thoughts of killing himself or living cowardly...
...inevitably, he chooses the third option and sleep in a baby bed in hope of starting his life over @@
Part 3: Over-protection and it seems like another continuation of Nozomu's trip.
Nozomu's kagemusha is still on duty and Nozomu thinks that it's overused and he's over-protected.
Examples are unnecessary signs blocking people in historical sites...
... too much emphasis on killing germ...
... and limits on ATM withdrawals...
Rin (in bikini ~.~) appears and reminds Nozomu that he's been over-protected for his entire life so far and asks him to attend the meeting of the Society for the Protection at the beach...
Members includes otaku who buys multiple copies of the same volume for various purposes: collection, reading, sharing, etc...
... and stupid copyright enforcement... and then to be continued again!?
Nowadays, any character could appear on "Let's Draw Itoshiki..."
Comments: The "Let's Draw Itoshiki" part in the end is added three in a row seemingly to kill off the last one or two minutes. What an effort ><
