Payback

Islanders got their payback on Brent Johnson by sending an enforcer after him @@ after he KO DiPietro in one punch last week...

DiPietro's injured again as expected and continued his disappointing season that already filled with stupid moment like this...

Lundqvist vs Pacioretty

Rangers played poorly in the first two periods on Saturday away against Canadiens and even Lundqvist uncharacteristically lost his clam by jumping on Pacioretty after being knocked down after their collision in the crease (somehow, Rangers got a power play afterward?). Well, it actually sparked the team and Ranger rallied in the third period but eventually lost another one-goal game to Canadiens...

... and this is not the first time Lundqvist's pissed off this season...

Rangers Lost to Lightning in Shootout

The game last night (12/23) was full of highlight-reel goals including St. Louis's steal and fake-Shot

Stepan's great hands tying the game in the third period.

And Christensen's nice one-handed shootout goal (Thanks for Biron's advice~)

However, Rangers' shooters simply couldn't beat Lightning's goalie Ellis in the extra round and lost in the shootout... at some point, I just wondered why Rangers just did a spin at center then shot five hole... just in case you don't know I'm talking about...

Chicago Blackhawks are Stanley Cup Champions!

Just tuned in midway through the third period to watch Hartnell's equalizer and Kane's game winner. Well, I had no idea where the puck was and more importantly I couldn't believe such a soft shot would become a Stanley Cup winner... Anyway, I generally dislike any hockey teams from Pennsylvania so I was glad that the Blackhawks beat the Flyers...

Almost Perfect Game

Galarraga's robbed for sure but the good sportsmanship and class he showed after the game could never be taken away!!! By the way, if he just pitched a perfect game, I guess nobody would care that much even though it'd be the 2nd perfect game in just four days...

Second Perfect Game in May

I wasn't aware of it until this morning (watching Stanley Cup Final?). Another perfect game? Didn't it just happened weeks ago but this time accomplished by one of the best pitchers in the league, Roy Halladay.

Perfect Game on Mother's Day

Congratulation to Dallas Braden for throwing a perfect game on Mother's Day! And the Rays become a victim of the perfecto again two year in a row!?

Duke 61 - Butler 59

If the last-second-buzzer beater went in, it'd turn this extraordinary game to the greatest basketball game of all time...

Canada 3 - USA 2 OT

No doubt this was the best game of the tournament and I wish the game-winner was scored by someone else... Sigh~ Why Crosby? Couldn't bear to watch the medal ceremony afterwards and try sleeping with a broken heart tonight...

Ovechkin's Game-changing Hit

Very important hit that led to the game-winning goal by Malkin! Jagr may need to reconsider returning to the NHL...

2010 NHL Winter Classic

I can't wait to see Tim Thomas taking out somebody like what he did during the game at the Olympics (Actually, I don't think he's the starting goalie)! Anyway, just can't believe the Bruins could come back and win in the OT. Just moments before the game winning redirection, the Flyers were two on nobody in front of Thomas but both players missed the net!? It's the first time the home team won the Winter Classic and the previous two winners advanced but lost the Stanley Cup final. Well, Boston is mediocre now and it seems impossible for them to make it through the first round this year ...

Hong Kong 4 - Japan 2 (Penalty Shootout Football Final @ 2009 East Asian Games)

Haven't watched football (the real one) for ages but just so glad and proud at this moment!

P.S. Gaming MW2 whenever I have time...

Yankees Win the World Series

Yeah! I've predicted Yankees in six! Pettitte, pitching on three-day-rest, wasn't sharp but was able to work through over five innings and gave up only three runs. However, it didn't matter as Matsui drove in six runs by himself, tied with Utley in total RBIs in the series and ultimately won the World Series MVP. This is the first Yankees' championship since I've been in New York and may this be the beginning of another dynasty and more championships in coming years!

Unassisted Triple Play

http://mlb.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=6256159&topic_id=4096448

Starting lineup in the DL, getting shut out regularly, batters' inability to hit home runs, dropping a routine pop-up, scary hit by pitch in Wright's head, having starting pitcher giving multiple runs in the first inning and closer blowing consecutive saves in the ninth and now what? Unassisted walk-off triple play!? Just wondering if the mess Mets are cursed in their new ballpark New Shea Stadium Citifield...
