WSH 2, NYR 1 :(

… Fedorov beat Lundqvist late in the third period and Rangers were eliminated from the playoffs in the early stage once again for four straight years. I did think Rangers played a good game tonight (especially Avery) and bounced back from their lifeless performance in Game 5 and 6. However, the inability to score inevitably wasted Lundqvist's brilliant effort of keeping the game close…

WSH 5, NYR 3

Oh no! Without Betts, who's going to blocks all those shots during penalty kill. What a loss, Man! Betts is the best defensive player in the team and now he's out of the playoffs... by the way, apparently, not only Avery's discipline problem, the head coach could sometimes lost his head and got himself suspended... Rangers are a mess right now and they're on the way to be crushed at Washington in Game 7. I don't want to admit but have to agree that if Lundqvist even allowed a goal tomorrow, Rangers would lose...

Lundqvist (and the posts, maybe the crossbar...) once again bailed out Rangers and made 39 saves (facing 40 shots again) to give Blueshirts 3-1 lead in the series. I've thought Rangers were just lucky to get away from two stupid third-period penalties by Avery in the final minutes...

WSH 4, NYR 0

… OTZ… I actually spent 150 bucks for a ticket to watch the home game live at MSG and what I got in return was four unanswered goals by Capitals and none by Rangers i.e. a shutout by a rookie goaltender who didnt even speak English… If not because of Lundqvist, the game could easily be like 7 or 8-to-nothing blowout. The turning point of the game was definitely the second goal by Semin because Capitals quickly extended their lead a few seconds after Callahan hit the pose. Instead of Rangers tying the game, Capitals were up 2-0 in the first period. That goal really hurt Rangers' momentum and the rest of the game was just sloppy. No defense, no offense whatsoever. The guy next to me actually left the game after the third goal was scored and if I were watching this at home, I would have turned my computer off and left also. Of course, I knew that Rangers could never come back from a three-goal deficit but because this was my first time here as a fan, I just tried to stay and finish the whole game and then what? Another goal given up in the last two minutes… Sigh~ anyway, I wasn't proud of the results and could only hope that the Blue Shirts wouldn't disappoint their fans at home again on Wednesday.

I don't usually watch animes based on Three Kingdoms such as Battle Vixens, Kotetsu Sangokushi, Koihime Muso, etc but since its protagonist is Cao Cao (曹操), I've just took a look and it's just bloody awesome! But since when generals will debate before a battle like the one they did in the anime. Well, it just makes me miss the old Koei video game...

鋼の錬金術師


... Bones should probably re-title it to 鋼の錬金術師改... I mean I really don't expect it to be a remake but anyway it's just difficult to surpass the classic first season.

Rangers 1, Capitals 0

Lundqvist had a 35-save shutout and Callahan scored the only goal of the game. That's so amazing. What's even greater is that Rangers go back home with a 2-0 lead in the series! Rangers are strong at home and I can't wait to see the next game!



P.S.: Trying to watch the Yankees-Indians game after Rangers' game and just gave up after the 14-run second inning. That's really some embarrassing historical moment to witness and I felt sorry for those idiots fans who spent over $2,000 to watch that game. What happen to Wang? Where is his signature sinker? Where has the back-to-back-19-game-winner gone? 34.50 ERA in three games... Wang must either be sat out or sent to the minor league before his mechanics are fixed... Pitching for the Yankees surely meets with enormous amount of pressure but Wang did great in the past and I hope 台灣之光 would shine again in the near future.

Rangers 4, Capitals 3

On the final day of my busy season, I barely got home to watch game 1 between Rangers and Capitals in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and a great goal by Brandon Dubinsky was the winning margin of the game and gave Rangers another game 1 victory for three consecutive years. Game 2 will be on NBC and that must be way better than watching poor quality internet streaming.

Britain's really got more talent than America... I'm not a fan of the two talent shows anyway but to me, it seems like a repeat of Paul Potts' phenomenon three years ago.
